Reflection

Through this core, I refined my understanding of how supervision, communication, and collaboration directly influence student learning and school improvement. Each experience strengthened my ability to apply effective models of supervision and facilitate productive dialogue in both individual and group contexts.

In the Action Plan and Mixed Scanning Model assignment, I practiced balancing analytical and participative leadership approaches, promoting consensus while maintaining focus on instructional goals. The Law, Policy, and Ethics coursework, including the Anthony B and Ferguson Case Brief analyses, deepened my understanding of ethical frameworks and policy implications that guide supervisory decision-making in schools.

These experiences collectively enhanced my ability to create collaborative environments where staff feel heard and valued, apply group-process strategies to resolve challenges, and use consensus-building to support sustainable improvement efforts centered on student achievement.
