Reflection
Understanding the theories and practices of performance evaluations and decision-making processes required a close examination of multiple frameworks used in educational leadership. Through the EDLE 705 coursework, I explored how effective evaluation systems balance accountability, growth, and fairness within school settings.
Assignments such as the Improvement and Accountability project and the Case Study on Inequality of Professional Development Opportunities allowed me to connect theoretical principles with real-world application. These experiences deepened my understanding of how performance data informs instructional leadership decisions and drives equitable outcomes.
In the Discussion and Leadership Forum on Grade Change, I applied decision-making models to analyze ethical and procedural considerations in personnel and student-related decisions. Collectively, these experiences strengthened my ability to evaluate performance, lead with transparency, and design systems that promote both improvement and accountability in educational environments.
