Techie Tuesday ~ The Power of Padlet

padlet_integerHave you checked out Padlet?  It is a quick and easy way to create a one-page web page to share resources, write information, and even collaborate!  You can add text, videos, images, websites, and a wide variety of files such as pdfs.  I regularly used Padlet’s for math units such as this one on Algebra Building with Integers.  Students can access the page using one easy url address.

Even though I am now a consultant, I STILL use padlet!  I make one for pretty much every professional development such as this one for ActivInspire, ActivAdventure, and of course one for ClassFlow, Camp ClassFlow.  Oh, wait what is a blog post without mentioning STEM/STEAM?  Yes, Discovering the Treasures of STEM, is another one of my Padlets.

Don’t be nervous about the technical difficulty!  It is as easy as signing up for Facebook or Google, and things are added by just clicking a big pink circle +.  There are a variety of ways to use Padlet in the classroom from a unit resource page to a collaborative brainstorm page for students to a student-created project.

Looking for more ideas?  Aditi Rao has a great post sharing 12 Ways to Use Padlet in Your Classroom Tomorrow!  She even includes a tutorial or you can view the one I included below.

What ideas do you have for integrating Padlet in your classroom? school? district?  I can’t wait to hear!!
